Abstract

A children's toy drum having a drum head that is partially reflective and partially light transmissive. Lights inside of the drum are visible through the drum head when illuminated, and when the lights are not illuminated the drum head acts as a mirror reflecting external light and obscuring visibility of the drum's interior. A second reflector can be positioned toward the base of the drum to generate a light tunnel or other visual effect.
