Abstract

A method for fitting cables () with seals (), in which the seals () are accommodated via a transfer unit and mounted on the mentioned cable (). While the seal () is being accommodated via the transfer unit, its orientation on the holding arbor () is mechanically-electrically and fully automatically checked. If a seal () is incompletely or partially punched through, it is removed from the holding arbor (). Equally, a seal () which is not accommodated by the holding arbor (), is removed from the accommodation area. Also a transfer unit for seals () or comparable cable fitting components for a cable processing plant, the transfer unit encompassing a holding arbor () for accommodating seals (), wherein at least one force and/or pressure transducer () is situated on or in the holding arbor ().
