Abstract

An encasement () for a battery cell () and for a battery system () wherein said encasement is in the form of a sheet and comprises a core layer (). This core layer () comprises carbon nanotubes. The invention further relates to a process for producing an encasement () which comprises initially coating a polymer substrate with an oxide material and applying carbon nanotubes to an oxide layer thus formed.
