Abstract
A recording medium includes a substrate, a first ink-receiving layer, and a second ink-receiving layer adjacent to the first ink-receiving layer in this order. The first ink-receiving layer contains an inorganic particle having an average particle size of 50 nm or less, and the second ink-receiving layer contains an amorphous silica having an average particle size of 3.2 μm or more.
