Abstract
It is an object of the present invention to simply position a lens and an optical fiber while suppressing an increase in cost. An optical coupling member includes an optical fiber (), a holder () that holds the optical fiber () inserted from an insertion hole () formed at one end, and a lens such as a collimator lens () accommodated in an accommodation section () formed at the other end of the holder (), in which positioning is performed by causing the lens and/or the end face of the optical fiber () to come into contact with a tapered surface provided at a position facing the lens () and the optical fiber () in a protruding portion () formed on an inner surface in the vicinity of the accommodation section () of the holder ().
