Abstract

The machine toolfor machining a holeof a desired size in a workpiece, includes: a main shaftholding a tool; a spindle unitincluding a spindlewhich holds the shaftrotatably on the axis r of rotation, and a housingwhich covers the periphery of the spindle; a drive unitfor holding the unittiltably with respect to the workpieceheld by a holder, and for moving the unitrelative to the workpiece; a mountextending from the housingtoward the periphery of the shaft; and a control sectionwhich, based on the results of measurement by distance measurement sensorsheld by the mount, controls the unitso as to correct the inclination of the shaftwith respect to the workpiece
