Abstract
An apparatus for sorting objects conveyed by a conveying line, comprises a portion of conveying line () at which the objects () are sorted, a plurality of gripping means () for gripping the objects () operating at a portion of conveying line (). The gripping means (), on command and selectively, pick up the objects present on the portion of conveying line () and transfer them onto supports () in temporary waiting areas preselected for forming stacks of objects () homogeneous with each other. Lifting and conveying means () are provided for lifting, on command, single objects or stacks of objects () resting on supports () in preselected temporary waiting areas and conveying them onto an evacuation line ().
