Abstract
The invention relates to a printer and a corresponding print medium, wherein the printer reads, by means of a sensor, a code provided on the print medium. In order to make possible a simplified operation at the same time as an optimal printing result it is provided that data read by means of the sensor are transmitted to a merchandise management system by means of an interface.
