Abstract
Provided is an organic EL element having both excellent light extraction efficiency and excellent weather resistance. The organic EL element () has a configuration comprising: an organic EL element main body () including an organic compound layer () including a light-emitting layer; and a light extraction sheet () provided on the light-extraction side of the organic EL element main body (). In addition, the organic EL element () is characterized by: the light extraction sheet () including a silicon compound; the haze value of the light extraction sheet () being at least 90; and the total light transmittance of the light extraction sheet () being at least 80%.
