Abstract

Provided is a tilting pad bearing capable of suppressing the temperature rise of sliding surfaces of pads and reducing the amount of oil that has to be supplied to the bearing. The tilting pad bearing comprises: a bearing housing; a plurality of padswhich are arranged to be pivotable with respect to the bearing housing; a channelwhich is formed in each of the pads; a first nozzlewhich is formed in each of the pads, connects with the channel, and is open on a rear end surfaceof the pad; and a second nozzlewhich is formed in each of the pads, connects with the channel, and is open on a rear edge part of a sliding surfaceof the pad
