Abstract

A radiator thermostat () to be fitted onto a radiator valve () is provided. The radiator thermostat () has a transmission element () that transmits a compressive force to the valve pin () of the radiator valve. An electric motor () is provided to drive the transmission element (). The transmission element () is preloaded with a counter force (F) that acts in opposition to the valve force (F) using a spring (). Thus, when moving the transmission element (), the motor () has only to overcome the differential force (df).
