Abstract

An electromagnetic valve for controlling the flow of a pressure medium, said electromagnetic valve comprising a valve housing with an inlet port and an outlet port for the pressure medium; at least one passage opening, which connects the inlet port to the outlet port, for the pressure medium; a valve slide that can be moved axially between a first basic position, which closes the passage opening, and a second basic position, which opens the passage opening, by means of a solenoid coil; and a spring assembly, which positions the valve slide in the first or the second basic position when the solenoid coil is not energized. A spring excursion limiting means limits a specified spring excursion of the second spring portion to position the valve slide in an intermediate position between the first and second basic position by the energized solenoid coil. The valve slide releases at least a partial cross section of the passage opening in the intermediate position.
