Abstract
A flow restrictor () for application in bearing formation between a piston () and a cylinder () of a gas compressor (). The gas compressor () includes a pad () externally surrounding the cylinder () and an inner cavity (), arranged between the pad () and the cylinder (), fluidly fed by a discharge flow arising from a compression movement exerted by the piston () within the cylinder (). The gas compressor () includes a bearing formation gap () separating a piston outer wall () and an inner cylinder wall (), and a flow restrictor () is provided with a housing () fluidly associating the inner cavity () to the bearing formation gap (). The flow restrictor () includes a porous element (), associated to the housing (), provided with at least a restrictor part provided with a porosity sized to limit the gas flow flowing from the inner cavity () to the bearing formation gap ().
