Abstract

In a process for producing cumene, a Cfeed stream is contacted with an aromatic stream comprising benzene to produce an alkylation effluent comprising cumene. A portion of the alkylation effluent and at least one three-carbon alkylating agent is supplied to a treatment zone to remove impurities to form a treated feedstock. The Cfeed stream comprises a portion of the treated feedstock.
