Abstract
The invention relates to a plant extract combination ofandwhich is effective especially in a (synergistic) over-additive manner and optionally comprises whitethorn extract.is used in the form of an ethanol/ethanol/water extract whileis used in the form of an acetone/acetone-water extract, for example, and the active extracts are prepared at specific quantitative ratios, particularly <1.1:1, thus unexpectedly boosting the prevention or also the treatment of a decline in the mental capacity related to age or also other disorders. This results from an over-additive tandem effect by protecting neural cells and improving blood circulation while increasing energy supply and activating cerebral metabolism, not only in the cognitive-therapeutic field, an effect being obtained against harmful oxidative influences caused especially by decomposition products of effective substances, whereby in particular antioxidative protection extends in a complementary manner to several cell compartments.
