Abstract
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device that receives, from a particular user, identification of selected users from which recommendations are sought. Those users that have made recommendations are determined, and a recommendation graphical user interface is provided to equipment of the particular user. The graphical user interface item is associated with a recommending user and a television program. A selection of the recommendation graphical user interface item is received, and information is provided for presentation, responsive to a determination that viewing of the information has been authorized. Other embodiments are disclosed.
