Abstract

The present invention provides a method for conveniently and inexpensively producing an amino-hydroxybenzoic acid-type compound such as 3-amino-4-hydroxybenzoic acid by utilizingthat is a bacterium commonly used for a production process by biosynthesis. Specifically, the present invention provides anhaving an ability to produce 3-amino-4-hydroxybenzoic acid, which is modified to reduce an activity of N-hydroxyarylamine O-acetyltransferase (NhoA); a method for producing a 3-amino-4-hydroxybenzoic acid-type compound using such; and the like.
