Abstract

Disclosed is a method of producing 3-hydroxypropionic acid comprising the step of culturing recombinant microorganism comprising a nucleic acid sequence encoding-derived glycerol dehydratase, and a nucleic acid sequence encoding dehydrogenase, which converts 3-hydroxypropionaldehyde into 3-hydroxypropionic acid, and a recombinant microorganism used therefor. According to the present invention, the production of 3-hydroxypropionic acid remarkably increases and the production amount of 1,3-propanediol (1,3-PDO), which is generated as by-products when producing 3-hydroxypropionic acid, remarkably decreases, compared to known recombinant microorganisms comprising gene expressing-derived Vitamin B-dependent glycerol dehydratase.
