Provided is a tape cartridge or the like that prevents detection target portions from contacting a finger or the like when an exposed area is provided in a cartridge case to cause the detection target portions of a tape-shaped member to be exposed. A tape cartridge includes a label tapehaving a plurality of label portionsand a plurality of detection target portionsand a cartridge case and is installed in a tape feeding apparatus that feeds the label tapebased on the passage detection of the detection target portionsto separate the label portionsat a cut spoton the label tapeat a cut position Poutside the cartridge case. The cartridge case has an exposed area in which the respective detection target portionsare exposed, and a distance Lbetween the cut position Pand the upstream end of the exposed area is shorter than a distance Lbetween a detection tip-endof the detection target portioncorresponding to any of the label portionsand the cut spotof the label portionadjacent to the said label portionon a paying-out tip-end side.
