3-Phenylisoxazoline derivatives of the formula (I), and the use thereof as herbicides, are described. In this formula (I), Xto Xand Rto Rare radicals such as hydrogen, halogen, and organic radicals such as substituted alkyl. W* is carboxyl, cyano or CHO.
