Abstract

A method for negating location privacy attacks in cellular networks involves signal processing techniques at the physical identification layer. In particular the methodology involves embedding user's unique tags onto the downlink paging signal waveforms so that the tags are stealthy and robust. The scheme not only improves users' privacy but also saves system bandwidth.
