Abstract

The invention concerns an optical receiver comprising: a photodiode () coupled to the input of a trans-impedance amplifier () such that the trans-impedance amplifier receives the current (I) of the photodiode; a first comparator () adapted to compare an output voltage (V) of the trans-impedance amplifier () with a threshold voltage (V); and a threshold control block () for generating the threshold voltage (V), wherein the threshold control block () comprises at least one capacitor coupled to the output () of the trans-impedance amplifier () via at least one switch.
