Abstract
Provided is a cutting apparatusincluding a workpiece fixing jigthat supports a workpiece, rotates by operation of rotary drive means, and rotates the workpiecewhile fixing the workpiece; rotary drive meansfor driving and rotating the workpiece fixing jig; support meanstofor supporting the workpiecewhile rotating along with rotation of the workpiece fixing jig; cutter knivesandthat cut the rotating workpieceat least at axially opposite ends of the workpiece; and slide moving meansfor slidably moving the cutter knives. The cutting apparatushaving a simple apparatus configuration does not produce chips as a result of cutting with small variations in size and with high planarity of cut surfaces.
