Abstract
An impact resisting column assembly of train station is provided. The column assembly includes: a column (); an encasing steel plate () wrapping about the column (); a rigid jacket () having a rectangular cross-section, fitted over the encasing steel plate () and spaced apart from the encasing steel plate (); and mild steel energy dissipators () disposed between a first side () of the encasing steel plate () and a first side () of the rigid jacket (), and between a second side () of the encasing steel plate () and a second side () of the rigid jacket (), in which the first and second sides () are parallel with each other and perpendicular to an extension direction of a railway () in the train station, and the first and second sides () are parallel with each other and perpendicular to the extension direction.
