Described are particular fragments of the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p16 capable of increasing IFN-γ secretion of T cells or inducing proliferation of T cells and the use of said fragments for immunizing an individual against HPV-associated or other p16expressing carcinomas, preferably advanced carcinomas.
