Abstract
A hand-held device for hair growth stimulation. The device parts the user's hair while the light source radiates user's exposed scalp. Non-light emitting teeth are uses to part the user's hair in front of an associated light source. An optional timer can be used to control the length of time the light source is activated. Parallel rows of teeth are aligned with a central row of light beams and part the individual's hair to form furrows in the user's hair as the device is combed through the user's hair. The furrows create an unobstructed path for the light beam to reach the user's scalp. Various embodiments use laser and/or non-coherent light sources to provide light energy to the user's scalp. An optional removable teeth assembly can be used to allow repair or sharing of the device.
