Abstract

A pivot bearing unit (), having a pneumatic braking device () with a first and second bearing part (), which are embodied as rotatable relative to one another, wherein the braking device () is activatable by means of compressed air () via a compressed air supply line (). The braking device () is provided with a brake hose (), embedded in a bearing plate (), in the first bearing part (), and the brake hose () expands as a result of subjection to compressed air () with a motion () in the direction of a free end () and, via an axially movable switching ring (), exerts a force () on at least one brake block () of the second bearing part (), for transmitting a braking moment () between the first and second bearing parts ().
