Abstract
A print control device, printing system, and print control method can reliably execute desired operations according to the status of the printer. A print data receiving unitreceives print data including mode information from a host; a status acquisition unitgets the status of a printer; a decision unitdetermines if the mode information and the status of the printermeet an execution condition; and a printer control unitchanges the printerto a specific mode and sends commands generated from the print data to the printerwhen the decision unitdetermines the execution condition is met.
