Abstract
A system includes apparatuses and a power collecting device for collecting power consumption information at power sources to which the apparatuses are connected, respectively. The apparatus includes a controller that sets the apparatus to a first state or a second state for a lower power consumption; a first obtaining unit that obtains, from the device, first associated information in which first information for identifying the sources is associated with second information indicating power consumption of the respective sources; a retaining unit that retains second associated information in which the first associated information is associated with the time when the first obtaining unit obtains the first associated information; a state determining unit that determines a state of the other apparatus; and a second obtaining unit that obtains third associated information corresponding to a period during which the apparatus is in the second state when the apparatus transits to the first state.
