Abstract
The present invention relates to a microtome () for cutting thin sections, including a sample holder (), a cutting unit (), and a drive unit () for producing a feed movement between the sample holder () and the cutting unit () for setting the thickness of the sample sections. The drive unit () includes a piezoelectric linear actuator () for producing the feed movement.
