Abstract
An electronic module () has a first and a second circuit () with respective first and second output connections (), respective first and second reference potential connections (), and respective first and second sensing connections (), each circuit () comprising a respective sensing block (), which at its input side is connected to the respective sensing connection () and to the respective reference potential connection (). The first sensing connection () is either connected to the first output connection () or to the second output connection (). The second sensing connection () is connected to the second output connection (). The sensing blocks () are configured to detect a failure of the electronic module () with respect to its respective reference potential connection () and to indicate a detected failure by providing a failure signal at its respective output connection ().
