Abstract

The invention relates to a motor vehicle door closure, comprising a locking mechanism, an electric drive () for the locking mechanism, and a child-restraint element () with a corresponding sensor (). The electric drive () can be activated or deactivated in order to open the locking mechanism dependant on the position of the child-restraint element (), said position being requested using the sensor (). The activated child-restraint element () can be deactivated in an emergency operation by a switch (), and the locking mechanism can be opened by the electric drive ().
