Abstract
A modifying agent includes an acrylic copolymer containing an acrylic acid ester monomer unit, a methacrylic acid ester monomer unit, a monomer unit of a compound represented by Formula (1), and a cationic monomer unit: wherein, in the formula, Ris a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R, R, and Rare hydrogen atoms or organic groups having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in which hydrogen does not exist in carbon adjacent to a double bond; Ris an organic group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in which hydrogen does not exist in carbon adjacent to a double bond; Xis a hydrogen atom; Y is or —O—; and n is 1 or 0.
