Abstract

An active inhaler for delivery of an inhalation formulation has an overall flow resistance of at least 60,000 Pas/mfor ambient air drawn into a mouthpiece of the inhaler. This flow resistance when air and the aerosol are sucked via the mouthpiece is produced by the sizing of at least on air supply opening and/or an insert within the mouthpiece.
