Abstract
A communication apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a communication control section and a sending control section. The communication control section performs facsimile communication by way of an IP network. The sending control section performs connection confirmation processing of controlling the communication control section to send connection confirmation data in the form of image data for confirming connection to a receiving communication apparatus which the facsimile communication is directed to, and determining whether reception information indicating reception of the connection confirmation data has been sent back from the receiving communication apparatus, before sending target sending image data via the facsimile communication.
