Abstract

The present invention relates to a system oil composition for crosshead diesel engines, the system oil composition having excellent heat resistance and being effective for improvement of fuel efficiency. More specifically, the present invention relates to a system oil composition for crosshead diesel engines in which the system oil composition includes a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil as a base oil (A) and has a kinematic viscosity of at least 35 mm/s at 50° C., a high-shear viscosity of at most 45 mPa·s at 50° C., and a high-shear viscosity of at least 15 mPa·s at 70° C.
