Abstract
The daurinol compound according to the present invention exhibits excellent therapeutic effects on arthritis and inflammatory bowel diseases by having an excellent activity in inhibiting the generation of IL-17 and TNF-α, which are inflammatory cytokines causing inflammation, and can alleviate transplant rejection by inhibiting the proliferation of alloreactive T cells and increasing regulatory T cells; therefore, the daurinol compound according to the present invention can be used as a pharmaceutical composition capable of treating and preventing immune diseases. In addition, being a natural substance derived from the Mongolian medicinal plantor, the daurinol compound according to the present invention does not cause cytotoxicity and thus may be used as a composition for a functional health food capable of preventing and remedying immune diseases.
