Abstract

An object of the invention is to provide a phosphor that emits a light containing much red and green light components and a light-emitting device and a lighting apparatus comprising the phosphor that have favorable color rendering properties. An oxide nitride phosphor having a garnet structure represented by Formula [1]: AAlC:Ce, in Formula [1], A=(Lu,Y), a+b=1, 0<a<1, 0<b<1, C═(O,N), 10≦c+d≦16, 1.4≦c/d, 2≦w+z≦4, 4.0<x≦7.0); the molar ratio of Ce/A is ≧0.015 and the nitrogen content is 0.007 mass % or more.
