Abstract

An electrostatic charge image developing toner includes a binder resin, a colorant, and 4-nitro-o-anisidine, wherein the colorant contains a compound represented by the following formula (I), a content of the colorant in the toner is from 1.0% by weight to 20.0% by weight, and a content of 4-nitro-o-anisidine in the toner is from 0.1 ppm to 1,000 ppm based on the weight: wherein R represents an organic group.
