Abstract
A cutter has a first cutter blade moving mechanismthat moves a first cutter bladereciprocally between a forward positionA where recording paperis cut and a retracted positionB separated from the forward positionA; and a second cutter blade moving mechanismthat moves a second-cutter bladebetween a contact positionA where the paper is cut in contact with the first-cutter bladeand a release positionB separated from the contact position. The second cutter blade moving mechanismsets the second cutter bladeto the release positionB before the first cutter blade moving mechanismmoves the first cutter bladefrom the forward positionA to the retracted positionB. Wear and noise can be prevented because the two cutter bladesdo not contact after cutting the recording paper
