Abstract

An image display device includes a microcomputer and LUTs which are tables of correction data used to correct color balance of images. The microcomputer sets LUT extensions and calculates the LUTs based on: (1) the normalized values GainLof the L conforming adjustment values GainL and the normalized values GainHof the H conforming adjustment values GainH; (2) the normalized values Liof the input values Liof the image data of the L adjustment image and the normalized values Hiof the input values Hiof the image data of the H adjustment image; (3) the correction data of the LUTs; and (4) the correction data of the LUT extension units.
