Abstract
An underwater connection assembly, and a connection method, for connecting a riser () and a flexible pipe (). The riser () has an upper connection end () and the flexible pipe () has a lower connection end (). The connection assembly includes a longitudinal frame () having a foot () rigidly connected to the upper connection end () and a head () linked to a float (). A connector (), and a curved pipe () having two opposing ends (). The opposing end () is rigidly connected to the lower connection end (), and the connector () is mounted to the other opposing end (), to be able to pull the connector () towards the upper connection end () in a direction oriented from the head () to the foot ().
