Abstract

A nozzle touch mechanism () includes a base frame (), a stationary platen () to which a mold () is to be attached, and an injection mechanism (). The injection mechanism () is moved it toward the stationary platen () by means of a ball screw shaft (). A motor portion () which applies a pressing force to the mold () from a nozzle () is connected to one end () of the ball screw shaft (). A connection mechanism () is provided which is connected to the other end () of the ball screw shaft () and to the stationary platen () at a support located above the center of the nozzle (). When no pressing force is applied to the mold () from the nozzle () by the motor portion (), springs () can press the connection mechanism () in such a direction as to move it away from the stationary platen () with respect to the base frame ().
