Abstract
A method of handling parcels () and a logistics center () for handling parcels, use is made of superposable racks () and motor-driven shuttle carts () that are remotely controlled by a central processing unit () to travel in freely guided manner and that are suitable for docking with each rack (), each parcel () is unloaded onto a rack () and the destination of the parcel is identified (), a specific location is assigned () to said rack () using an outward shipping plan, and said corresponding shuttle cart () is caused to move () so as to store said parcels () side-by-side and in superposed manner, and then, using an inward delivery plan, each rack () is docked (), and each parcel () is transferred () from said stowage zone () to a loading point () so that parcels () are presented in their order of delivery.
