Abstract

Systems and methods for managing aftertreatment systems that include passive NOadsorption devices and SCR catalyst elements are disclosed. Temperature generation devices upstream of the passive NOadsorption devices facilitate control of the aftertreatment systems to improve fuel economy and NOconversion efficiency.
