Abstract
A method for introducing fine particulate material () of ferruginous particles into a fluidized bed reduction unit () having a fluidized bed (), wherein the temperature in the fluidized bed () is more than 300° C., and wherein the fine particulate material () is introduced directly into the fluidized bed () and/or into a free space () above the fluidized bed () by means of a burner (). The method may be used for producing liquid pig iron () or liquid steel precursor products () by a smelting reduction process in a smelting reduction unit ().
