Abstract
The characterization and isolation of F20G75, F20G76 and F20G77, anti-PA monoclonal antibodies which also have neutralizing activities is described. The monoclonal antibodies may be used as a pharmaceutical composition for treating individuals suspected of or at risk of or having ainfection. The monoclonal antibodies bind to a specific region comprising amino acids 311-316 of PA, ASFFDI or a larger fragment comprising amino acids 301-330 of PA, SEVHGNAEVHASFFDIGSSVSAGFSNSNSS. Vaccines comprising these peptides may be used to immunize individuals againstinfection.
