Abstract

A pneumatic tire is provided with center blocks defined by a central main groove, shoulder main grooves and central axial grooves, and shoulder blocks defined by the shoulder main grooves, shoulder axial grooves and the tread edges. The tread profile comprises a center arc of a radius of 250 to 550 mm and a shoulder arc of a smaller radius and has a camber quantity of 5.5 to 9.0 mm. The center blocks and shoulder blocks are provided with sipes each having an axially outer open end and an axially inner closed end disposed at specific positions in relation to the axially inwardly adjacent main grooves. The total sipe number on the shoulder blocks is more than the total sipe number on the center blocks.
