Abstract

A system () for calibrating an inertial sensor () includes a power source (), a frequency measurement subsystem (), and a gain determination subsystem (). A calibration process () using the system () entails applying () a bias voltage () to the inertial sensor (), measuring () a drive resonant frequency (), and measuring () a sense resonant frequency () of the inertial sensor () produced in response to the bias voltage (). A gain value () is determined () for calibrating () the inertial sensor () using a relationship () between the sense resonant frequency () and the bias voltage () without imposing an inertial stimulus on the inertial sensor ().
