Abstract
An electric motor includes a yoke having a plurality of magnetic poles, a rotary shaft, an armature core () attached to the rotary shaft, the armature core () having a plurality of teeth () and slots (), an armature coil () wound on the teeth () through an intensive winding method, a commutator having a plurality of segments () installed at the rotary shaft and disposed in a circumferential direction, a low speed brush () and a high speed brush () configured to supply power to the armature coil () via the segments (), and a common brush () commonly used in these brushes, wherein, when n is a natural number of 3 or more, a ratio of the numbers of magnetic poles, slots (), and segments () is set to 2:3:3n.
